  Week 5 Lesson  4   Minor Scales Notes 1. The Minor Scale has a lowered 3rd note 2. To find a relative minor start on the major 6th degree of a scale 3. A natural minor has a lowered 3rd , Lowered 6th and Lowered 7th 4 . Special attention was given in  class to reading,ie..  Counting ,   playing rhythmic patterns in music            Some Music passages Look very Challenging to count / play.                                         TIPS: Notes to remember  : . For better reading of mixed notes and rests, 1 . Try counting in eighth notes  or Sixteenth notes. 2.  Clap the rhythm first  3.  Play or count eighth , sixteenth notes  throughout the song . example for a quarter note on B ...i would play two eighth notes or four sixteenth notes  to help me count if needed .
